Meredith Younger (b. 1980, Midland, TX) graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 with a BFA in Ceramics and a minor in Art History. Her award winning work has been exhibited across the United States and featured in several publications, and she is a Rhode Island Council for the Arts Fellowship Award recipient. She currently divides her time between New Orleans and Alpine, TX.
A skilled and versatile sculptor, Younger is best known for her handbuilt ceramic figures and the daring storybook-like worlds they inhabit. Drawing inspiration from iconic childhood spaces of autonomy, her work delves into themes of initiation, transformation, and the vivid, unpredictable realms where the threshold between innocence and risk blurs. Through her evocative creations, she invites viewers to reflect on the timeless cycle of life, death, and rebirth— throughout the multiverses, and within the depths of their own personal journeys.
